The Atlantic Pavilion is on the north side; this is the south-side Pacific Pavilion.  

Inside each structure are two massive eagles crafted of bronze.  The pavilions pay tribute to victory in the two theatres of the Second World War:  the Pacific and the Atlantic -- and to the thousands of men and women who fought in each area.

Galey Media > The appears to be a "BEFORE" photograph of the terrain now occupied by Whitney Lake.  The area was often soggy and collected rainwater as a natural dam -- but the irrigation project ensured a year-around supply.
