Whitney Irrigation District Photos : WHITNEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT Box of Historical Photographs and Information. Most of this box contains the papers and several photographs that appear to have been collected by George Lawrence, long-time Secretary for the Whitney Irrigation District. Many of the photographs have "Whitney Irrigation Dist." written on them, and many others have "Jennie Lawrence" written on them. Others have no information. While most of the photographs are obviously related to the Whitney Irrigation District or the village of Whitney, there are some that appear to be unrelated. All materials were made available by Dixie Thompson, Secretary of the Whitney Irrigation District. Captions here are as found on the backs of the original pictures, except where "NOTE" has been added by Larry Miller. Please e-mail me if you can add further information for identifying any of these photographs. Thanks!
